how to use reddit to get your brand found

Reddit isn’t a billboard. It’s a neighborhood. Here’s how to earn attention, research your customers, and turn conversation into pipeline.

you probably shouldn’t market on reddit yet.

yep. that’s a weird thing for a marketing cat to tell you when you’re reading an article about using reddit to get your brand found. but hear me out.

before you worry about reddit SEO, karma, links, brand mentions, or figuring out which subreddit will magically send you customers, go enjoy reddit.

I’ve been redditing for a long ass time. Long before I was thinking about Reddit as a marketing channel. Reddit has basically always been “the front page of the internet” for me.

reddit isn’t another social media channel

Brands love to treat every new platform like a distribution problem: how often should we post? What’s the best time? How many links can we share? And eventually: can we automate this? Please don’t.

Reddit works differently because the fundamental unit isn’t really the brand post. It’s the conversation. People gather around interests, problems, hobbies, questions, recommendations, arguments, jokes, and extremely specific things that apparently require their own community.

before you find the right subreddit, find the right conversation

Don’t start with “which subreddit should our brand post in?” Start with “what problems are our customers already talking about?” Search Reddit for questions customers ask, products they compare, competitors they mention, recommendations they request, and the exact language they use to describe their problem.

Reddit can become one giant customer-research database. You’re not just looking for somewhere to post. You’re looking for how your customers think. That can influence your website copy, content, positioning, FAQs, sales messaging, product ideas, and your next 47 blog posts.

Meme break:

lurk before you leap

Before you post anything, watch. Read the subreddit rules. Read the top posts. Read the comments. Notice what gets upvoted. Notice what gets absolutely murdered in the comments. Learn the language, the jokes, and what people consider useful.

Every community has its own culture. You are a guest. Don’t build a Reddit strategy before you’ve built a Reddit habit. Be a Redditor before you try to market to Redditors.

your brand account isn’t the hero

Sometimes the best thing your brand can do is answer a question without mentioning your company. Sometimes it’s sharing something genuinely useful. Sometimes it’s adding context to a conversation. And sometimes you have absolutely nothing useful to add, so you don’t post. Revolutionary stuff, apparently.

okay. but does this actually work?

Fair question. So let’s look at something we actually did. The client is a B2B SaaS company, and we’re keeping the name private. We ran the campaign from June 28 through August 30, 2026.

Reddit campaign dashboard results, June 28–August 30, 2026.

the numbers

  • 1,237,856 impressions

  • 21,867 clicks

  • $1.38 CPC · 2.78% CTR · $3,895.45 spent

  • 250% increase in pipeline

The campaign contributed to a 250% increase in pipeline. That’s the difference between “we got a lot of impressions” and “we created more opportunities for the business.”

get found. don’t just get seen.

The internet doesn’t need another brand shouting louder. It needs more brands paying attention. Find the conversations. Listen. Learn the culture. Be useful. Contribute something worth remembering. That’s how you start getting found: not by treating people like traffic, but by treating them like people.
